See more of his wonderful work at Bomboland and be sure to check out the pics of his gallery show at Seize Galerie last year.

It's a short section of this title above (Nr.4 of a six-part DVD collection MEDIA MAGICA, highly recommended, surely the best compilation of the world) and deals with "harlekinades" from 17.-19 century.
More about MEDIA MAGICA: click the title. The description of the DVDs are in english too.

Movable Books: Collection Jo Ann Reisler

The Movable Books Society shows some very rare picture books from the child book antiquarian Reisler. A little visual defect for me is this confusing crossfading of the squares from picture to picture (8 minutes video)
(Thanks "boutique du livre animé")

Grand Merci pour "des pop et des up"

A very white stop motion video from the french animation artists Camille Baladi and Arnaud Roi

Persil Pop Up "Making Of"

The advertising company Blink, who has made this commercial, gives us a making of with a similar artful arrangement as the original ad, guided by a cute childish voice
with a strong british accent. For me the mechanical highlight: the frog tongue mechanism !

And see his two more new paper machines he published on his Youtubechannel kmn000

"Scubacat"

Confess! Who Sent the (folding) Flowers?!

You can imagine my surprise when I finally made it to my P.O.Box the other day and found someone had anonymously sent me a brand new 2010 pop-up title from Chronicle Press, Paper Blossoms by Ray Marshall.

It's very nicely designed, with 5 large floral spreads that really are pretty enough to use as centerpieces for a table or as decoration on a side table in a guest room, kids room, anywhere people appreciate good paper engineering.

It's a mystery, as no note was included. Was this book sent as a preview to Jaime Zollars the creator of this very popular blog to review? Could it have been sent from an appreciative recipient of the blooming rose folding flower pattern I've sent out over the last 2 years?

CONFESS! Who is this generous flower bestower? (None of my family nor friends knew anything about it.) Could this treat have come from a Paper Forester?

Thank you! It's wonderful! Should we make it a prize in some sort of PF contest?!
