Hello Craft is marking its debut Summit of Awesome event May 1-3, 2009 in Washington, D.C.
It will be three days of demos, panels, talks, screenings, crafting, and more! The event is for anyone who is interested in making their craft or art their business. Though I am primarily a 2d artist, I'll be on a panel that talks about craft as it pertains to the fine art world.
The event caters to all crafty folks, and since I know many Paper Forest readers dabble in all sorts of art and craft, I thought I'd post this discount to the event. $25 off registration for Paper Forest readers! All you have to do to get the registration code is e-mail me (jaime(at)jaimezollars(dot)com) for your discount code and register before April 23.
(Individuals must register separately to ensure discount is accurately applied. Discount is valid for one 3 Day All Access Summit of Awesome Pass only. Discount not applicable to any other Hello Craft products or programs. Offer expires April 23th, 2009.)

Jaime, this event sounds fantastic. I love the name "Summit of Awesome"!! Obviously the people behind it are witty and fun. I would so love to hear you on the subject of craft in terms of fine art. I'm very interested in that concept specifically.
For those of us outside D.C., will any of it be video archived somewhere we could see? Even for a fee? I'd pay for that one.
Off to check out the Hello Craft site, never knew of them before.
Hi Shelley,
Certain sessions of the Summit of Awesome will be in the Virtual Labs at Etsy.com Check back to hellocraft.com for the line up of which sessions will be there and when.
I didn't know that Kelly! Thanks for commenting.
