Just came across this cool site of paper automata by Cool4Cats last night. Some pretty amazing stuff here. Some real cool movements and ideas I haven't seen before. There are a few videos on the site but I wish we could see more, I would love to see this King Kong in action. The planes spin as Kong climbs the building. Neat stuff!

This is fascinating! I didn't know there were so many great ideas available out there for paper. I am going to put you in our blogroll for sure, because I know I'll be back a million times for ideas.
Thanks!
Youtube has a video of the KingKong moving.
I'd personally love to see the Artists Autotmata drawing.
OH! So cool, Matt! Just when I thought I knew all the automata people! Great find!
Bought the purring cat but they were all tempting!
Have built most of them. Have not tackled The Artist yet. I would also love to see it operate. These are first class carboard automata for sure.

I would LOVE to see the artist operate as well. It is a big model though. I have no room for it, or much time right now for that matter :)
It's a big curious that King Kong is climbing the Chrysler Building, not the Empire State Building....
Hello everyone and thanks for your kind comments. I am the producer of the cool4cats kits. I'll make a film of the Kong kit for my website at some time when not too busy!
re: the last coment. I deliberately used the Chrysler building as my inspiration for the model, even though it was not used in the original film. I just like the design of the top!
