Everyone is invited to submit their own design on these forms. The pieces connect together and will form one larger sculptural piece for an exhibition. Check out the site if you are interested in the project and send in your own piece of the puzzle!

Rommy and Kamimodel

Check out this fun little paper toy. It's Rommy a free paper toy by Japanese Paper Engineer Tetsuya Watabe of Kamimodel. You can get two versions of Rommy HERE and check out the Kamimodel site for even more of Tetsuya's paper goodness. Neat! This might be my first build of 2008.
My back log is bursting at the seams. I'll post some more great stuff in the next week or so.

Squealers by Christopher Bonnette

Just in time for the holidays, here is Santa and his henchman Krampus. They are part of the Squealer paper toy  project, brain child of Christopher Bonnette. I love the way the mouth opens like a puppet! You can find Santa, Krampus and Psycho-Swine as well as a blank DIY squealer template at Christopher's flickr here.

I'm not exactly sure whats going on and my Spanish is a bit rusty but these guys look really cool. I wonder if J Fox there on the right was inspired by Teen Wolf?
Thanks to Sjors for the heads up.

jumnakao: Sewing the Invisible

Jum Nakao
You have to admit--this is a creative use of PAPER! Jum Nakao. It looks as though the designer, art director, and their teams had an immersive creative retreat that resulted in some fascinating paper dresses/costumes.

The behind the scenes "Making of" images are interesting and worth seeing. There are elements of glamorous 1940's Noir, flamboyant Rococo ornament and silhouette, as well as undulating undersea forms. I trust the book and dvd set of the collection explains the whole process and its story.
