Hako models by Telman

There are a lot of "Hako" style models out there on the net, but these are definitely some of the coolest. Lisa Grant sent this link to me of the Picasa web album of Telman's. It's got a lot of Hakos based on cartoons like Underdog, Rocky and Bullwinkle, The Toonerville Trolley and one of my all time faves Pogo. Thanks for the link Lisa.

Cardboard Boombox for iPod

I love cardboard gadgets that really work, and this is one is quite amazing. Produced by Suck UK, this 80s styled boombox is a real speaker system for your mp3 player that runs on two AA batteries.

It was always a bit of a put-down when audiophiles would liken the sound of your stereo system to a cardboard box, but now we might just have to re-evaluate that.

No word yet on pricing.

Cardboard gadgets seem to be everywhere at the moment. You might also like to have a look at this origami TV that you can build yourself.

Here is a video for They Might Be Giants featuring one of my favorite things, paper robots! I think paper makes for a really cool stop motion animation.Check it out here at Spin's website.

Flickr is a great way to share paper toys. Here are a few fun paper toys I came across that you can print off Flickr and build designed by Jerom. I love this worm! You can find him as well as many other neat paper toys on Jerom's Flickr account.
