Makiko Azakami is an amazing artist who works with paper. She has had many exhibitions in Tokyo as well as a few in the United States. She has many books out, including "The Great Paper Toy Show", her only English book, published by Chronicle. Her website is really well-designed and shows off all her wonderful and meticulous paper sculptures.
